We are a private, family owned and operated company established in 1983 with over 40 years in the trucking industry. Our company is well positioned to serve our customers in Canada and the United States. We are located in the hamlet of Sebringville, Ontario – just a few miles West of Stratford, Ontario.
History
How we started
In 1973, Bob Woodcock and his son Lorrie purchased Merchants Delivery from a local businessman which provided primarily local deliveries from Stratford retailers to residents throughout the city.
The business grew to the point where a larger facility was needed, and in May 1979 moved to the current location at 225 Huron Road in Sebringville. In November 1983, Bob sold his shares in the company to his youngest son, Brad. At that time the name was changed to Woodcock Brothers. During 1989 Woodcock Brothers purchased six tractors and started to branch out into TL, LTL, and Moving and Storing divisions.
In 1994, to accommodate the expanding fleet, a 20,000 square-foot warehouse/shop/dispatch office building was built on the property. It also included a 5-bay shop. In 1997, Woodcock Brothers purchased a competitor carrier and at time doubled in size.
During 2004, Lorrie retired and sold his shares to Brad who became the sole owner of Woodcock Brothers. In 2017, Jeff Pauli purchased a minority interest in Woodcock Brothers and was named CEO. Jeff started with the company in 2000 as the Controller.
During 2020, Woodcock Brothers rebranded to become Woodcock Transportation Group.
